Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer Government Building Control Access in Bronx, NY. You will protect government facilities, monitor access, verify credentials and respond to incidents, while maintaining professional communication with staff and authorities.

The role requires security experience, a valid license and a high school diploma, and includes a full-time schedule with a competitive pay rate of $33.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as part of employment.
• Drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and the public at a government finance office by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disputes, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear activity reports and incident documentation and communicate with site personnel, law enforcement and Allied Universal leadership.
