Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and the public at a government finance office by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disputes, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear activity reports and incident documentation and communicate with site personnel, law enforcement and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Armed Security Officer Government Building Control Accessin Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government finance office, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government finance office by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain professional communication with site personnel, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
