Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a full-time post at Westheimer Rd in Houston, TX. You will protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites, patrol areas, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service.

The role requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification, a valid Texas driver’s license, 21+ years old, and 3+ years of law enforcement/military or 5+ years armed security experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy.
• Possess a Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses.
• Carry out armed patrol duties throughout retail locations, parking areas, delivery zones, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report per site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter theft and security concerns.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate to site leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Carry out armed patrol duties throughout retail locations, parking areas, delivery zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and applicable reporting requirements.
• Maintain a professional presence to help deter theft, unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, and other security‑related concerns.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and daily reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
