Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Front Desk in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Front Desk Security Professional at a government location, you will serve as a welcoming, highly visible presence while supporting access control, visitor screening, and security-related communications. You will help maintain an orderly environment by providing exceptional customer service, responding to concerns, and documenting activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide professional customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government office reception area by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access protocols.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and appointments as required, issue visitor credentials, and direct individuals to the appropriate office or service area.
• Monitor entry activity, maintain visitor and delivery records, and communicate with authorized personnel regarding arrivals, access concerns, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, answer routine inquiries, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, or maintenance issues to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
