Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. This armed driving post offers the opportunity to deliver service with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care while responding to evolving site needs.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of personnel, visitor, and vehicle activity.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and coordinate with site personnel and emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
