Prosegur Security USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Armed Security Officer to protect client assets, ensure personnel safety, and maintain a secure environment. The role requires vigilance, responsibility, and adherence to all security protocols.

A background in law enforcement or corrections and the ability to handle a firearm responsibly are preferred. Responsibilities include patrolling, threat response, access control, emergency/de-escalation measures, and maintaining incident reports.

Qualifications

• Background in military police, law enforcement, or corrections is required.
• Must own a firearm and hold a valid carry license; armed guard license required where applicable.
• Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use.
• Pass random drug testing and a psychological evaluation.
• Physically capable of patrolling and responding to incidents.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal security regulations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify security breaches.
• Deter, detect, and respond to threats promptly and professionally.
• Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide emergency response including de-escalation and detainment as needed.
• Maintain incident reports and documentation.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, military police, or corrections and must be capable of handling a firearm responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas,identifyingpotential security breaches or hazards
• Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly and professionally
• Control access points andmonitorpremises to prevent unauthorized access
• Provide emergency response, including de-escalation, arrest control, and restraining individuals as necessary
• Maintain clear and concise incident reports and documentation for all security-related incidents
• Engage with individuals in a courteous and professional manner to enforce rules and regulations
• Coordinate with local law enforcement whenrequired

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections isrequired
• Firearms: Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license isrequiredin applicable states
• Training: Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use
• Screenings: Must pass random drug testing and a psychological evaluation
• Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and managing potentially intense confrontations
• Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have obtained Top Security Clearance in the past 5 years
• Must have obtained a Security Clearance in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills

• Strong observational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
• High levelof professionalism and discretion
• Prior training or certification in security management, conflict resolution, or emergency response

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 50lbsas needed
