Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Security Patrol in Newport News, VA. You will monitor and protect client facilities, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining clear communication with site operations.

The role requires an armed guard license, CPR is preferred, and strict compliance with background checks and drug screening. Scheduling includes DayTime shifts; driving positions require a valid license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Armed security experience preferred at industrial sites.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Drivers license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce site policies and emergency procedures at an industrial location.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, document visitor and vehicle activity, and report incidents.
• Respond to incidents calmly and in accordance with post orders and procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and communicate shift information.
