Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Brooklyn, NY. The role offers a fixed, anchor shift with the option to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings, up to 40 hours per week.

The position requires a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit and a Law Enforcement Officer License, with a six-month commitment to the anchor site. Pay rate is $33.70 per hour; schedule is Thursday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, perimeters, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, in accordance with site requirements and applicable regulations.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
