As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Response in Brooklyn, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, perimeters, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following applicable procedures and coordinating with transit personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report security‑related concerns, hazards, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required reports and activity logs accurately and promptly, documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
