Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Concealed Carry Patrol in Bronx, NY. You will monitor and protect government facilities, perform armed patrols, and provide outstanding customer service to create a welcoming, safe environment.

This full-time position requires a concealed carry permit, at least one year of security experience, an armed guard card, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Concealed carry weapons permit required.
• At least 1 year of security experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• State/local licensing may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government facility by following site security procedures and emergency protocols.
• Perform armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and document activities.
• Prepare clear reports on patrols, incidents, and security activities.
