Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Security Officer for a Day Shift in McKinney, TX to protect corporate property, personnel and visitors. The role involves monitoring access controls, cameras, and visitor management, and performing patrols by vehicle or on foot.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, coordinating with emergency responders, and documenting activities. A High School diploma and 2+ years in security or related fields are required; Texas DPS license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years in security, military, emergency management, law enforcement or related fields.
• Background check and medical screening required.
• Texas DPS PSB Level III Commissioned Security Officer license preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must read and write English.
• Ability to meet licensing requirements for security officers.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with appropriate escalation of force.

Responsibilities

• Assigned to a fixed post or patrol in an area on foot or by vehicle.
• Provide armed protection of property, personnel and visitors.
• Monitor security cameras, access controls and visitor management.
• Respond to gate bypasses and perform gate overrides.
• Patrol grounds and parking areas; oversee Security Operations Center if needed.
• Notify and assist external first responders and internal teams.
• Document daily activities and prepare incident reports.
• Oversee load information entry when weighing truckloads if assigned.
• Attend training and required company functions.
• Perform other duties as required.
