What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and other members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, administrative areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management during peak travel periods or special events, and report observed hazards, policy violations, or unusual conditions.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and maintain required communication with supervisors, transit personnel, and law enforcement partners as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
