Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer armed for an administrative building in Sioux Falls, SD. You will provide customer service, patrol responsibilities, and access-control for a financial services site.

Expect weekend shifts with the $23.40/hour pay rate and opportunities to advance through our Shift-claim platform. The role requires armed experience, a concealed carry permit, and a CPO certification, plus a background check and drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Concealed carry weapons permit.
• CPO certification.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by laws.
• Drug screen where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity, incidents, patrols, and other security observations per site policies.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and handle assigned equipment per Allied Universal policies and site procedures.
