Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc., a wholly owned company of Afognak Native Corporation, has a part-time opportunity for an Armed Security Officer in Wichita, KS. The officer secures the facility under established procedures and processes.

• Respond to various calls and incidents
• Secure and safeguard specific scenes
• Perform crowd control as required
• Conduct personnel, vehicular, and building checks; administer First Aid and CPR as needed
• Complete all reports and forms via electronic security applications
• Maintain and qualify with assigned weapons; uphold uniform and grooming standards
• Operate patrol vehicle safely; conduct flag protocols; safeguard assets
• Provide motorist assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed
• Perform other assignments per SOPs

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 3 years of security experience within the past 5 years, or
• An Associate's degree or 60+ college credit hours, or
• 3 years of military or National Guard experience, or
• Completion of POST course, or a combination of these

• City of Wichita security license
• Concealed carry permit
• Familiarity with security systems (CCTV, access control, emergency systems, mobile apps)
• Pass criminal background check
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and quick to learn new software
• Complete approximately 80 hours of company training (scheduled 7 days a week)
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug test, and Physical Readiness Test
