Responsabilidades

• Report safety, security and/or fire hazards.
• Respond to requests for assistance from clinic personnel, patients and visitors.
• Interview victims and witnesses to complete investigative reports.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Provide specialized personal protection for visiting dignitaries and VIPs.

As an Armed Security Officer, you will play an essential role in this mission and be a part of our growing organization. You will be responsible for protecting patients, visitors, caregivers, and hospital property by conducting regular patrols and enforcing facility policies. This role is a great steppingstone to other roles and offers the opportunity to learn and grow within an elite healthcare organization.

A caregiver in this position works 3 12-hour shifts per week from 5:30AM – 6:00PM. The schedule will rotate between Sunday-Tuesday one week and Monday-Wednesday the next.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Patrol the internal/external premises.
• Monitor visitor conduct, ascertain legitimacy of suspected unauthorized persons, control parking and traffic flows and enforce parking regulations.
• Provide physical restraint against those who endanger staff, patients and visitors.
• Provide escort to personnel as appropriate.
• Report safety, security and/or fire hazards.
• Respond to requests for assistance from clinic personnel, patients and visitors.
• Interview victims and witnesses in order to complete a thorough investigative formal report.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Provide specialized personal protection for visiting dignitaries and VIPs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Proof of certification for firearm training
• State of Florida Class D license
• State of Florida Class G firearms license
• Valid Driver's License (VDL)
• Two years of experience
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Security, police or military background

Physical Requirements:

• Essential Duties: Patrol internal / external premises. Control and enforce parking and traffic flow. Respond to requests for assistance Documents incidents; follow through with investigative measures.
• Physical Duties: Requires extensive walking, standing and sitting. Frequent talking and listening when directing or investigating concerns/incidents. Frequent use of the phone, computer, fax machines, company vehicles.
• Working Conditions: The majority of the time employee will spend commuting between and in the buildings. Potential exposure to blood and blood borne pathogens is minimal while performing inquisitions and interviews. Exposure to chemicals during the course of an investigation may require the use of personal protective equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Proper attire and security accessories.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
