Job summary

Ojos Locos is seeking an Armed Security Officer to ensure safety and compliance at their facility. Responsibilities include securing the premises, managing guest behavior, and conducting ID checks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and previous security experience. Work hours are primarily during evening and night shifts.

Job description

As Armed Security, you are Ojos Locos' first line of defense. We ask that you prioritize:

• Securing the facility
• Checking IDs to ensure entrance of only those of proper age
• Refusing entry to anyone showing signs of intoxication
• Managing guests demonstrating aggressive behavior or behaving disruptively or harassingly, possibly breaching laws or Ojos Locos rules

Security Officer Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous security experience
• CPR / First Aid certification

Annual continuing education / training in security is required.

Job Responsibilities

• ID checks
• Screening patrons for weapons / illegal substances
• Reporting incidents with details (who, what, why, when, how) via email at shift end
• Reporting use of force immediately to the Director of Security and via email by shift end
• Monitoring premises through walk-throughs, checking restroom and outdoor exit areas, and other concealment areas
• Monitoring parking lot from main entrance or immediate area
• Ensuring no smoking or vaping in non-designated areas
• Supporting team efforts to achieve related results
• Monitoring coworker activity for safety and assistance
• Adhering to the Security Key Items to Protect Agreement

Work hours are typically scheduled between 7 pm and 3 am Thursday through Saturday, and 7 pm to 1 am Sunday through Wednesday. Clocking in and out during shifts is mandatory.
