Qualifications

• Must hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Valid driver’s license and be 21+ for armed roles.
• Criminal background checks and drug screen as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and team members while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the grocery retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and deter unauthorized activity with a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity promptly and maintain armed-post qualifications and equipment.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and team members while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the grocery retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential loss‑prevention concerns, helping to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and maintain required armed‑post qualifications and equipment in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
