Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, visitors, and team members while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the retail area, entrances, parking, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with site protocols and laws.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Maintain firearms qualifications and training, and handle assigned equipment per policy.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, visitors, and team members while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications, licensing, and training, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
