Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a full-time Armed Security Officer in Claremore, OK. You will patrol hospital grounds, control traffic at access points, respond to security requests, and help initiate emergency procedures to protect staff and patients.

The role requires a high school diploma, prior security experience, and Oklahoma licensing. Hospital setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a security officer.
• Must meet criteria to be licensed in the State of Oklahoma.
• Preferred hospital security experience (1–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Patrol grounds and buildings and secure assigned posts to protect employees, patients, and visitors.
• Direct and control vehicular traffic to ensure access and egress from the hospital.
• Respond to requests for assistance in security matters and investigate incidents.
• Facilitate initiation of emergency and disaster procedures promptly.
• Maintain composure in high-stress, emergency, or unusual conditions.

• Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity and women’s services, ICU and cardiology services in the advanced cardiac catheterization lab.

• Patrol grounds and buildings and secure assigned posts in order to provide sufficient protection to employees, patients, and visitors
• Direct and control vehicular traffic to ensure means of access and egress from the hospital
• Respond to specific requests for assistance in security related matters and investigate incidents to ensure appropriate follow-up action is taken
• Facilitate initiation of emergency and disaster procedures in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain composure in performance of duties during high stress, emergency, or unusual conditions

Job Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience as a security officer
• Must meet criteria to be licensed in the State of Oklahoma

Preferred Job Requirements

• One to three years experience in a hospital setting
