FIRST SECURITY is actively hiring Security Officers for all shifts, with full-time and part-time opportunities in Oklahoma City. We seek dependable individuals who protect people, property, and facilities, whether experienced or starting a security career.

Requirements include CLEET certification (or help obtaining it), professional appearance, excellent observation and reporting skills, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to obtain CLEET certification.
• Experience as security officer preferred but not required.
• Excellent observation and reporting abilities; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises by patrolling and monitoring access points.

FIRST SECURITY is actively hiring Security Officers for all shifts, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available throughout the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

What We’re Looking For

• CLEET-certified Unarmed Security Officers (CLEET Phase I & II)
• CLEET-certified Armed Security Officers (CLEET Phase IV)
• Applicants who do not currently have a CLEET certification are encouraged to apply—we may be able to help you obtain your certification.
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance
• Observation, communication, and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Ability to interact respectfully and confidently with employees, visitors, and the public

Responsibilities

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling assigned property, monitoring access points, and investigating incidents.
• Submit complete and detailed reports documenting observations, incidents, activities, and occurrences throughout your shift.
• Follow location-specific procedures, policies, and post orders.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with facility staff, visitors, and other individuals encountered during your shift.
• Monitor visitors in accordance with customer policies and procedures.
• Authorize the entrance of mental health patients in accordance with facility requirements and established procedures.
• Provide assistance to individuals in need while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate important information clearly and promptly to fellow Security Officers and management.

• Experience as a security officer or guard preferred but not required
• Conflict resolution skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Sharp observation skills and attention to detail
• Experience in surveillance systems being a plus.
• CLEET certification -or- the ability to qualify for CLEET certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Physically able to stand and/or walk for extended periods
• Physically able to push/pull/lift 40lbs
• Basic computer skills
