Job summary

Chenega Security SBU seeks an experienced Shift Supervisor to lead a team of Armed Security Officers supporting the U.S. Government Publishing Office in Pueblo, Colorado.

You will oversee daily security operations, ensure contract compliance, mentor personnel, and maintain a secure environment for government employees, visitors, facilities, and assets. As the shift supervisor, you will conduct briefings, manage post assignments, and coordinate staffing with a focus on professionalism,

Qualifications

• Background and drug screening required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to pass a Personal Security Background Investigation and NCIC check.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to Armed Security Officers on shift.
• Ensure contract compliance and post orders are followed.
• Conduct shift briefings and post assignments.
• Coach and mentor personnel; address performance issues.
• Be primary point of contact for shift personnel.
• Monitor posts for proper staffing and coverage.
• Coordinate staffing adjustments as needed.
• Conduct inspections of posts and security activities.
• Lead incident response and emergency operations.
• Notify Project Manager of significant incidents.
• Assist with investigations and documentation.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee visitor management and access control procedures.
