Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Tucson, AZ. This armed guard position offers fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide security, respond to incidents, and ensure access control at a government veterans services location. Minimum requirements include an armed guard card or license and being at least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a Armed Security Guard - Part Time in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government veterans services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns using required reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
