Allied Universal, a leading security company, is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part Time) to patrol transit locations in Richmond, VA. The role emphasizes a visible presence, incident response, and professional customer service for passengers and staff.

The position offers Fri–Sun shifts (3:30 PM–1:00 AM) with a pay rate of $21.63 per hour. Applicants must hold an armed security license, be 21+, and pass a background check and drug screen; high school diploma or equivalent required, with

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license per Allied Universal policy.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned transit locations to deter security-related incidents.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control and coordination with local law enforcement when needed.
