Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Patrol Response in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible hours and fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, helping you earn more while maintaining a work‑life balance.

You will conduct armed patrols across the retail site, respond to incidents, provide customer service, and comply with licensing and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Active Texas Level III Armed Certification required.
• Minimum age 21 for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, reporting observations through established procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity while following applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Patrol Response in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed04:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
