Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a part-time armed security position in Plano, TX. You will provide security services, patrol a retail grocery site, handle incidents, and deter theft with a professional presence.

Qualifications include 3+ years law enforcement/corrections/military or 5+ years armed security, Texas Level III certification, and a valid driver’s license. Must be 21+ and pass background and drug screening where allowed.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or five years armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry security training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail grocery location including sales, receiving, parking, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and report activities as required.
• Deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized activity with a visible presence and timely reporting of suspicious behavior.
• Be prepared to carry authorized equipment in accordance with laws and company/site procedures.
