Qualifications

• Five years of armed security experience
• Experience in Municipal Police Officer, State Trooper, Federal Police Officer, Military Police or Master at Arms, or military with sidearm rank
• PA Act 235 Certification
• PA Concealed Carry Permit
• Own a firearm meeting requirements and a Level 3 holster
• Pass firearms qualification course
• Ability to work well under pressure
• High School Diploma or GED
• Consent to drug screen and criminal background check
• Consent to obtain school work clearances
• No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude
• Reliable cell phone with email access
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Reliable transportation
• Professional and courteous demeanor

Responsibilities

• Be a Cardinal Point Ambassador: Be on time, look sharp in uniform, stay engaged, and be consistent.
• Walk up to 10,000 steps per day to patrol facilities and prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
• Coach and mentor students
• Incident management and verbal de-escalation
• Maintain orderly foot traffic flow in hallways
• Monitor restrooms throughout the day
• Report maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel
• Act as first responder for emergencies
• Stand post at secondary locations as required
• Identify and report suspicious activity
• Cultivate positive relationships with staff and students
• Access control
• Monitor CCTV

Armed School Security Officer - $25.00 per hour – Act 235 required – Bryn Mawr, PA

Cardinal Point Security Group is building a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Location: Bryn Mawr, PA

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM

Fridays – 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Schedule includes regular school hours plus occasional after-school and weekend events

This position follows the school calendar with two months off in the summer

Basic Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of five years of armed security experience
• Must possess prior experience in any of the following: Municipal Police Officer, State Trooper, Federal Police Officer, Military Police and/or Master at Arms, Military experience with a rank requiring a sidearm
• Must possess a valid PA Act 235 Certification
• Must possess a valid PA Concealed Carry Permit
• Must possess your own firearm that meets requirements and a Level 3 holster
• Must be able to pass firearms qualification course.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Consent to a drug screen and completing criminal background investigation.
• Consent to obtain required clearances for working in school.
• No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
• Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)
