Compensation

$18.00 per hour.

Benefits
  • Paid mandatory training
  • Employee referral program
  • Employee recognition program
  • 401(k) eligibility after six months
The Mission

This is a Professional Guardian role inside a school environment.

You are being hired to help maintain a safe, stable, and violence‑free learning environment while serving as a trusted safety partner to students, staff, and school leadership.

  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Detect problems early
  • De‑escalate conflict before it becomes a crisis
  • Respond decisively to serious threats
  • Document incidents clearly and professionally
  • Build credibility with both students and adults

This role requires maturity, discipline, emotional control, and the ability to shift seamlessly from approachable mentor to capable first responder when the moment demands it.

  • Monitor hallways, entrances, common areas, and student safety hot spots
  • Support access control and visitor management procedures
  • Identify and report suspicious activity, safety vulnerabilities, and security concerns in real time
Incident Management and De‑Escalation
  • Use calm verbal de‑escalation and sound judgment during conflicts, disruptions, and student/parent incidents
  • Help stabilize situations without unnecessarily escalating them
  • Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and administrators
  • Act as a trusted adult presence while maintaining clear professional boundaries
Emergency Response
  • Act as a capable first responder during emergencies, access control breaches, and critical incidents
  • Support school leadership and law enforcement coordination when needed
  • Maintain composure, awareness, and communication discipline under pressure
Operational Excellence
  • Monitor CCTV and support campus awareness
  • Write clear, factual, professional incident reports
  • Report on safety and facility concerns promptly
  • Execute the Cardinal Point basics every day: Be on time, look sharp, be engaged, be consistent
  • Support secondary posts or special assignments when operationally required
Physical Requirements

  • Stand for extended periods, including up to four hours per day
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic school environment
Required Qualifications

  • Ability to pass criminal background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing and able to obtain all state‑mandated K‑12 clearances and school‑readiness requirements
  • Reliable transportation
  • Active cell phone with reliable email access
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Professional, student‑appropriate, customer‑focused demeanor
  • Sound judgment, emotional control, and the ability to work well under pressure
  • No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following:
    • School safety / school security

    • Corrections
  • CPR / First Aid / AED certification
  • Strong report‑writing ability
  • Demonstrated ability to balance authority with approachability

  • Reliable and consistent
  • Calm under pressure
  • Strong verbal de‑escalators
  • Professional in appearance and conduct
  • Able to build rapport without losing authority
  • Alert, observant, and proactive
  • Mature enough to distinguish between student misbehavior and true threats
  • Able to operate with restraint, sound judgment, and documentation discipline
Application Process
