Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL seeks a Public Safety Officer I – Armed for overnight coverage on the 3rd shift. You will patrol, respond to emergencies, and enforce safety policies while maintaining professionalism and courtesy towards patients and staff.

Required: High School diploma or GED, IL security certifications, and ability to pass background checks. The role includes firearm responsibilities in line with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Armed officer with IL state requirements and FOID/CCW where applicable.
• Must pass background, drug screen, physical and psych assessments.
• Ability to operate computers for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services preserving safety and order.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols and report vulnerabilities or incidents.
• Respond to emergencies, de-escalate conflicts, and assist patients and visitors.
