Qualifications

• Ability to de-escalate and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide security with a customer-service approach while following policies, procedures, and training.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor to inspire confidence in patients and staff.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols, identify hazards, and manage patient valuables and contraband.
• Respond to workplace violence and service calls with appropriate force and restraint when needed.
• Lead de-escalation using communication and, if necessary, conducted energy weapon (CEW) and restraints.
• Assist with emergency planning and incident reporting; coordinate with leaders and external agencies.
