Job summary

Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking a professional Protective Security Officer (PSO) to provide armed security services for the DHS FPS at IRS facilities. The role emphasizes access control, screening, patrols, incident response, and adherence to procedures.

The ideal candidate has two+ years armed security or related experience and holds Maryland Security Guard Certification as well as a Maryland Handgun Wear and Carry Permit, with FPS-compliant training and grooming standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of armed security, law enforcement, military, or equivalent experience.
• Must meet FPS Protective Security Officer medical qualifications.
• Valid Maryland State Police Security Guard Certification.
• Active Maryland Handgun Wear and Carry Permit.
• MD firearms training and weapons qualifications up to date.
• Professional appearance per FPS grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Verify identity and control entry/exit of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and property.
• Operate screening: X-ray, magnetometers, handheld detectors, manual inspection.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas and respond to security concerns and threats.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and evacuations.
• Operate CCTV, intrusion and fire alarm systems; use comms equipment.
• Process visitors, issue credentials, maintain logs, coordinate escorts.
