Allied Universal in Houston, TX seeks a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Specialist to safeguard government locations. You will monitor, deter, and respond to security incidents, while delivering customer service and professional support in a government setting.

The position is full-time with set shifts and a pay rate of $18.84 per hour, requiring compliance with post orders and armed certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a military police, corrections officer, or armed security professional.
• Armed guard card or license.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Texas Level III armed certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• State and/or local licensing may be required before employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow laws, policies, and post orders while performing armed duties.
