Job summary

Security Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Armed Patrol Security Officer for the 2nd shift in Birmingham, AL. You will safeguard people and property through patrols, access control, surveillance, and emergency response while adhering to licensing and legal requirements.

The role requires a state security license or ability to obtain one, must be 21+, armed training with a pistol permit, and a valid driver’s license. Schedule is Tue-Sat, 3pm-11pm, with a pay range of $15.98–$19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a valid State Security License
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must complete armed training and maintain a valid pistol permit
• Valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols to enhance safety and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify IDs and credentials.
• Enforce procedures per Security Post Instructions.
• Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
• Maintain accurate logs of activities and observations.
• Execute routine tasks: locking/unlocking doors, managing security systems, and monitoring surveillance.
• Assist visitors and employees, addressing concerns professionally.
• Enforce SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).
• Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance.
