Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer – Armed Patrol Driver in Tampa, FL. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, being 21 or older, a high school diploma, and successful completion of background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Have a valid driver’s license in the job state.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Operate in an armed capacity in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
