Job summary

Allied Universal® seeks a Security Officer for a full-time, unarmed patrol driver/perimeter inspection role in Tampa, FL. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while providing excellent guest service.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, 6 months security experience, and a high school diploma. The schedule runs night shifts; background checks and drug screening are conducted as part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• 6 months of security-related experience or more preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/city and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and event participants at a public sports and recreation location.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter zones to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, reporting unusual conditions to supervision.
• Respond to incidents calmly and in line with established protocols.
• Prepare clear reports and coordinate with supervision and emergency responders.
