Job summary

Allied Universal in Harlingen, TX, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Armed Patrol Driver. This role offers flexible, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $14.00 per hour with evening schedule options. Ideal candidates are 21+, hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Background checks and drug screens apply.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting of suspicious activity.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, company policies, and site-specific procedures for authorized equipment.
