Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable coverage with fixed shifts and the option to pick up additional hours.

The role includes armed patrols, customer service, and adherence to site procedures, with a path to build towards a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Candidates must meet Texas licensing and certification requirements and be eligible for a background check and drug screen; driving is required for driving positions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience or at least 5 years armed security experience.
• Valid driver's license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas required.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and staff while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols in retail areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and in line with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to site leadership.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications as required.
