Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Manson, NC to protect facilities and people. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism and integrity.

This full-time driving role requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card is preferred; you will work a set day schedule and join a team that values service and safety.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or other authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials, and document the entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
