Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in New Braunfels, TX seeks an Armed Security Officer to deter crime and protect patients, associates and visitors. You will patrol hospital facilities, respond to emergencies, conduct preliminary incident reports and coordinate with security leadership.

This full-time role requires a valid Texas security license, two years of armed security or related healthcare experience, and successful completion of required trainings.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of armed security experience preferred
• Healthcare security experience preferred
• Verbal de-escalation training must be completed within 60 days of hire
• BLS required within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Conducts frequent security patrols of the facilities and grounds as assigned.
• Identifies and reports trends related to security issues. Recommends actions.
• Takes initial information for an incident report, uses proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, notes only the facts, leaving out personal opinions and submits report in a timely manner.
• Responds promptly to all service requests relayed by supervisor, telephone, pass-on, e-mail, radio, cell phone and other correspondence in a courteous and expeditious manner.
