Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an Armed Security Officer to patrol hospital facilities, deter threats, and protect patients, staff and visitors. You will respond to codes, conduct preliminary investigations, and rotate between facilities as needed, with uniform and credential requirements in place.

The role requires hands-on security operations, incident reporting, and collaboration with clinical teams. Work hours are 2PM to 10:30PM, full-time, on-site at various CHRISTUS campuses.

Qualifications

• Armed security experience preferred.
• Licensed to carry firearms where applicable.
• Ability to complete required training within specified timelines.
• Experience in healthcare security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts security patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Identifies and reports trends related to security issues and actions.
• Takes initial information for incident reports with factual notes.
• Responds promptly to service requests via multiple channels.

• Enforces CHRISTUS Health policies and state laws.
• Operates security systems and generates daily activity reports.
