Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years armed security experience preferred (military service accepted).
• Healthcare security and law enforcement background preferred.
• Must complete de-escalation and security certifications within specified timelines.
• Active state security commission and driving record requirements per location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent security patrols of hospital facilities and grounds.
• Respond to security incidents, document facts, and submit timely reports.
• Enforce CHRISTUS Health rules and state laws across facilities.
• Assist with patient and staff safety, including handling combative individuals.
• Operates security systems, radios, and incident reporting tools.
• Promote a safe environment by identifying hazards during rounds.
