The position requires a NYS security license, firearms license and BLS; labor may involve evenings with rotating weekends/holidays. Based at GHMC-Catskills, part-time 0.4 FTE.

Qualifikationen

• Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, Security or related field required OR direct five years of direct Law Enforcement/Security experience.
• Licensed and registered with NYS Armed Security Guard Registry; valid NYS firearms license; valid NYS driver's license; BLS certification.
• Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.

Aufgaben

• The Armed Security Officer will ensure daily safety of Garnet Health Medical Center facilities, staff, patients, visitors and volunteers.
• Enforce Garnet Health policies to safeguard personnel, equipment, facilities and information.
• May provide supervision to Security Officers at leadership direction.
• Respond to incidents and crises according to hospital protocols.
