Job summary

Samaritan Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Licensed Senior Security Officer for the Evening shift. You will provide armed, uniformed security across SPHP campuses, assess threats, respond to incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.

The role requires NYS security licenses, five years of armed security, and knowledge of state laws and force continuum. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $35.70 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum five years of armed security guard experience.
• Five years of healthcare/hospital security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NY Penal Law and Criminal Procedure Law is required.
• Active police officer certification; must obtain NYS Armed Security Guard license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed, uniformed security presence on SPHP campuses.
• Assess threats and respond to incidents to protect staff, patients, visitors and others.
• Prepare investigations and thorough reports; coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Participate in security operations across SPHP facilities and grounds.
