Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic seeks a Licensed Senior Security Officer for Samaritan Hospital in Troy. The role is full-time with Evening shifts, providing armed, uniformed security across SPHP campuses to protect colleagues, patients, visitors and grounds.

Under the Lead Security Officer, you will assess threats, respond to incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed, ensuring safety across facilities and sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.
• Unexpired NYS Armed Security Guard License (firearms training and NYS pistol permit).
• Minimum five years Armed Security Guard experience.
• Five years Healthcare/Hospital security or five years Law Enforcement preferred.
• Knowledge of NY Penal Law and Criminal Procedure Law.
• Knowledge of the use of force continuum in private security.
• Active police officer certification; officers must obtain NYS Armed Security Guard license within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed, uniformed security presence across SPHP campuses.
• Assess threats and provide immediate response to incidents.
• Mitigate offenses against life and safety of colleagues, staff, patients, visitors and others.
• Prepare thorough reports and submit to Lead Security Officer and SPHP leadership.
• Coordinate with law enforcement as needed based on threat assessment.
