Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an armed Protective Services Officer for Bethesda Butler Hospital to help safeguard patients, staff and visitors on campus. The role requires vigilance, clear communication and a calm, professional presence while enforcing hospital security policies.

Responsibilities include patrols, traffic control, incident reporting and rapid response to emergencies, with on-site shifts and potential on-call duties. This position is part-time with weekend/holiday rotation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• 1–2 years of technical experience in Criminal Justice, Private Security, Police or Military preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Current Private Security handgun certification or ability to obtain certification within 45 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License with no more than 4 driving points on a motor vehicle report.
• No DUI/DWI convictions within the last 5 years.
• No major moving violations convictions.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and grounds to deter violations and ensure safety.
• Direct traffic and control parking for patients, visitors and staff.
• Maintain and update security logs; report hazards and incidents.
• Respond to emergencies; assist clinical staff as needed and ensure safe conduct.
