Job summary

OhioHealth Corporation is seeking a Security Officer to provide armed safety and security across hospital facilities and off-site sites. You will patrol, observe, report incidents, and assist with emergencies while enforcing hospital policies and ensuring patient, visitor, staff, and asset protection.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and completion of security training including OPOTC firearms certification.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Basic computer skills are expected.
• Must be mentally and physically capable to complete training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides armed safety and security services in all areas of the hospital and grounds.
• Observes, reports and documents incidents of risk-related situations to management.
• Enforces hospital policies and acts as a 1st responder to emergencies.
• Assist with violent or potentially violent patients, visitors, and staff.
• Control access and monitor security of drugs in hospital pharmacies.
