OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking a Security Officer to provide safety services across hospital facilities and off-campus sites. You will operate weapons scanning equipment, enforce policies, guide visitors, and respond to incidents to maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV, intervening in confrontations, documenting incidents, and following emergency procedures. The role requires high school or GED, BLS certification, and a valid state driver’s license;

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification is required.
• A valid state driver’s license is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Operates and maintains weapons scanning equipment.
• Enforces hospital policies on parking, visitation, substances, tobacco, weapons, and related areas.
• Monitors CCTV and responds to escalated situations.
• Intervenes in patient, visitor, or staff confrontations as appropriate.
• Completes incident documentation accurately.
• Undergoes training and maintains required certifications.
• May float to other locations based on team needs.
