Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is recruiting Master Police Officers to maintain a safe and secure environment across hospital properties. The role involves patrolling facilities, responding to incidents, and providing excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Candidates must hold Act 235 Certification prior to hire; the position may require serving legal documents and handling firearms in accordance with policy. Full-time employment with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Act 235 Certification is required prior to hire.
• Arrest warrants, subpoenas, and Protection from Abuse may be served as part of duties.
• Ability to carry, handle, and deploy a firearm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff and properties.
• Patrol hospital facilities, grounds, and related areas to prevent and document incidents.
• Investigate unusual circumstances and assist in follow-up actions.
• Respond to acts of violence and provide first responder support when needed.
• Transport individuals in custody and support investigations as required.
