Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an armed Federal Protective Services Security Officer in Washington, DC. The role requires a current Secret clearance, 3+ years of armed security experience or equivalent military service, and the ability to obtain FPS suitability within ~60 days.

Primary duties include armed patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and customer service. Site pay starts at $33/hr with paid training at $25/hr; full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain: CPR/AED/First Aid, firearms qualifications, NWDTP certification, OC/Baton/handcuffing certifications, defensive tactics.
• Minimum two years of armed security experience or military service or armed civilian law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build and maintain relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns and security breaches verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergencies per protocol.
• Greet visitors, patrol facilities, monitor CCTV and alarms.
