Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring an Armed Federal Protective Services Security Officer to provide armed protective services at a high profile site in Washington, D.C. The role includes armed patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and customer service to protect people and property.

The job offers full-time hours, with site pay starting at $33/hr and paid training at $25/hr. Eligible candidates must have 3 years of armed security or related experience and be able to obtain FPS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• CPR/AED and First Aid training (AHA/ARC); firearms qualifications; NWDTP; OC, Baton and handcuffing certification; defensive tactics.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build, improve and maintain relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergency situations according to protocol.
• Follow all directives relating to site-specific operations including manuals and post orders.
• Greet and welcome visitors and employees; answer questions and assist as needed.
• Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
• Answer phones, monitor CCTV systems and alarms.
