Job summary

Allied Universal in Weslaco, TX is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Patrol Coverage to provide reliable security at a retail grocery location, with a fixed anchor shift and optional extra shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

You will conduct armed patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain readiness to carry equipment while meeting licensing and background requirements. This role offers a part-time schedule with opportunities to grow toward full-time.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• Valid driver’s license required for Allied Universal driver policy.
• Level III armed certification in Texas.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees while performing site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Maintain authorization and readiness to carry assigned equipment in accordance with laws and Allied Universal policies.
• Document incidents and patrol activities and communicate information to site leadership and law enforcement when appropriate.
